Andrew E. Burdsall


Andy Burdsall is the president of Riverbend Financial Group, LLC.  He focuses on values-based financial planning, effective asset and cash flow management and efficient charitable giving.  He holds the Behavioral Financial Advisor designation.

Andy grew up in the Air Force and moved around the country, landing in Kansas City when his father retired and he entered the fourth grade.  Upon completion of high school, he attended Iowa State University where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. Andy worked in engineering, supervision and management for Fortune 50 companies until 1999, when he and his wife, Deanna, decided it was time for a career change. Andy joined American Express Financial Advisors and eventually moved his practice from Louisville, Kentucky  to New Albany, Indiana.  He was instrumental in the formation of Navigator Financial Group in December, 2001, became the sole owner of the business in September, 2003 and continued as president when the business became Riverbend Financial Group LLC in July 2007. As a sister firm to Riverbend Physicians, Riverbend Financial serves clients coming from a wide range of demographics and geographies.

Andy is a Registered Principal with Securities America, Inc. and is an Investment Advisory Representative of Securities America Advisors, Inc.

Deanna and Andy live in southern Indiana with their three girls, Kate, Camryn and Ellie.  They enjoy volunteering at church and are very active in the girls’ activities, although empty-nesting is coming fast.

Adam D. Henley

Vice President, Client Service

Adam is the Vice President of Riverbend Financial Group. He helps lead the Riverbend team, assists the financial advisors in developing and growing their practices, and provides attentive service to our clients.

Adam is a lifelong resident of Southern Indiana, graduating from New Albany High School in 1996 and Indiana University Southeast in 2000. He joined the office in 1998 through an internship program offered by IUS, and has helped grow and transition the firm into Riverbend Financial Group.

Adam married his lovely wife, Tiffany, in 2000. They live in Henryville with their two children, Parker and Sophie. In his free time, he enjoys watching his kids participate in a variety of sports and activities. He also enjoys being active, getting outside, watching sports, playing computer games with Parker, and just hanging out with the family.

Michael D. Warner

Chartered Financial Consultant

Michael has spent his entire 30 year career as a dedicated student of Finance & Economics and the applications to real life. He holds a BS degree in Economics, MBA, and several professional designations.

Michael’s field of specialty involves comprehensive financial & estate planning, asset & wealth management, investment & insurance management, and retirement & income distribution planning.

He and wife Lisa live in Oldham County, Kentucky and have been married for 29 years. They have two daughters, Hannah and Claire. Among his many interests are music (plays the mandolin, fiddle and guitar), outdoors (hunting and fishing) and active church ministry.

Michael receives new clients by referral.

Kristina English

Financial Advisor

Regardless of their asset level, Kristina believes every person needs financial planning and became a financial advisor to help others achieve their goals and dreams.

Kristina assists our clients with wealth management, specifically financial and retirement planning, and also helps them with their life, Medicare, health insurance, disability and long-term care needs through insurance solutions.

Kristina holds Series 7, 65 and 66 securities licenses as well as life, health and annuity insurance licenses in Indiana and Kentucky. She has over 14 years of experience in the financial services industry. Kristina also holds a Master of Science in health care administration and a Bachelor of Science in biology from Western Kentucky University, and is an alumni member of  the 2017 Leadership Southern Indiana class. Kristina is also a committee member and volunteer with the Leadership Southern Indiana NexGen program.

Kristina and her husband, John, have two children, Ethan and Jake. She enjoys spending time with family, watching her sons’ extracurricular activities and attending and volunteering at Northside Christian Church.

John Volpert

Senior Financial Operations Associate

John serves as Senior Financial Operations Associate at Riverbend Financial Group. He uses his keen analytical, problem-solving and strategic abilities to provide sterling client service. He also plays an integral role in assisting advisors cultivate their practices.

John has been in the financial services industry since 2010, following a successful career in advertising, branding and marketing where he learned the importance of working hard and building skillsets that complement and translate into other industries. John holds his Series 7, 63 and 65 securities licenses. He attended Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.

John and his wife, Lisa, live in southern Indiana and have two daughters, Charlotte and Isabella. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends as well as playing golf.

Brittany Elliott

Operations Specialist

As Operations Specialist, Brittany specializes in securities support, client preparations and processing.

Brittany has served in the financial industry since 2009. She takes great pride in getting to know clients personally, and understanding their perspectives on life, finances, and legacy.

Brittany is a huge Green Bay Packers fan, and enjoys visiting her hometown of Las Vegas as often as possible.  She is a very involved aunt to her nieces and nephews, so you will often find her at their extra-curricular activities.

Dawn Shouse

Vice President, Brands

Dawn is responsible for the development and implementation of human resource strategies that align organizational goals with people capability and business growth plans. She also leads all branding, marketing and communication efforts.

Dawn has over 25 years of experience in both the public and private sectors. She received her bachelor’s degree from Western Kentucky University. Dawn and her husband Brian enjoy hiking and traveling, and spending time with their 3 children, Garrett, Dylan and Ethan, and dog, Rosco. Dawn is also a proud grandmother to her granddog, Bubba.
